David Pierce, the chef/owner of For the Table, conducts most of the classes. He is a certified NYS food service teacher. A member of the American Culinary Federation and past president of the local chapter. David was chef of the year, and received a French citation the Palm D'ore for his leadership. David is an experienced caterer, executive chef, working chef, campus dinning manager, and Wegmans meal coach chef.Having worked in food service since high school, his 30 + years have given him a unique expirence that he is waiting to share with you.

 Our Business

While For the Table is the latest evolution in the business. David has had a part-time catering business for 20 years.Having catered various functions from intimate dinner parties to large weddings of 300. He has also, while working on the BU campus, besides daily business, fed the Empire State game athletes and coaches serving more than 10,000 meals in a week. He has worked with corporations like IBM, NYSEG's retirement group, GE, BAE, Lourdes hospital, local churches and temples and many schools.Our business is based in service and how we measure our success is by how happy our customers are! If for any reason you are not satisfied we want to know right away so we can make it right!

 Planning

    Planning your party is a breeze! We provide everything you need for your memorable gathering so you can relax and join -in on the fun while learning a new cooking skill. All you have to do is choose the menu, group size, theme, and we can take care of the rest for you- even the dishes! Talk about simple! If you want, the Chef can create a menu with a theme  and use your input of course! The possibilities are limitless.
